Quite a bit of time has passed since our last entry on the family blog. I will condense these major events to get us caught up a bit. We decided to finish the basement with a little apartment for grandma and grandpa Wren. It consumed most November and December while we worked hard to get it done by Christmas for them. We mostly made the deadline and they moved in down there shortly after Christmas.
Christmas was wonderful!

All the children earned money to buy each other gifts this year (in the past we have just bought all the gifts) and it was so nice to see their thoughtfulness for one another. Because Christmas fell on a Sunday this year we decided to hold our annual Christmas breakfast on Christmas Eve. Stephen, Rebecca and their children joined us. Breakfast burritos and fresh fruit were on the menu this year and they were pretty yummy if I do say so myself :-)

Once again the kids caught Santa in the house and this year we got it on film!

New Years was spent bowling in the afternoon with all the extended family then followed by games and food back at home. We had a good time ringing in the New Year and are excited for what this year will bring us.After the new year Chris and I started thinking about a vacation to take without the kiddos. We ended up booking a cruise to the Carribean with ports in St. Marten, St. Thomas and Nassau Bahammas. We really needed the break and time to reconnect and we did. Mom and Dad Wren watched the kids all week for us and were real troopers. Right before we were leaving to the airport Carson threw up. The rest of the week all the kids took turns getting the "bug" I felt awful that it ended up that way but they all survived and we are so thankful for them :-)
No pictures of our Valentines Day celebrations but we had some yummy cinnamon rolls for breakfast and a spaghetti dinner for.... dinner :) Grandma Barbara, Emily and Adam came for dinner the Sunday before so here are pics of G-ma giving the kids a Valentine.

We also played a quick game of Guesstures and we certainly couldnt leave Cam out.

All in all it was a busy few months but we are relatively back to normal now and things have mostly slowed down.
